Free Webinar: Running Your Event:  A Master Class With Rob Howarth

Thursday, 23rd July,
10:00am BST

After the success of Rob's masterclass on running competitions, we're back with part two: the nitty-gritty of actually running your event, whether that's dance, cheerleading, gymnastics, judo, or anything in between.

When hosting an event or competition,  you're not just in charge of your studio and your students. You're in charge of competitors/performers,  staff, audience members, and more, often in a new venue, too. That's a lot to carry, and it's exactly why something always slips through the cracks.

Rob's run enough large-scale events to know what helps and what doesn't, and he's here to share it. After this webinar, you'll have the confidence to manage every part of your event, including:

  • Planning before the event. Locking down your venue and your key people early.
  • Venue requirements. A zone-by-zone walkthrough, from parking to changing areas to the judge and guest area.
  • Staff and volunteers. The core roles you need, rotas, and briefing your team properly.
  • Health, safety and compliance. Risk assessments, insurance, first aid, safeguarding, Body of Persons Approval.
  • Information and communication. Schedules, QR codes, your announcer, and clear house rules.
  • Lost property. A simple three-step system.
  • The performer's journey. One dancer's whole day, mapped out, to pressure-test your plan.
